PROVISION OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO LEGISLATION OF NUTRITION AND RELATED BILLS

 

The NNC Secretariat provided technical support to legislation of nutrition and related bills through review and preparation of position papers, attendance to public hearings and TWG meetings convened by the relevant committees of the House of Representatives and the Senate. An interagency group of nutrition advocates called Legislative Advocates for Nutrition and Development (LAND) was created by the NNC-GB in 1998 to plan, spearhead and coordinate implementation of advocacy strategies for the legislation of these bills.
