Section 7 of PD 491 designates the month of July as Nutrition Month to create awareness among the people on the importance of nutrition. Since then and under the leadership of the NNC, Nutrition Month has been celebrated nationwide at the barangay, municipal, city, provincial and regional levels, with the support of many public and private individuals and using trimedia approaches.
